Hotels
As members of the School Travel Forum, Max Ski have required all our partnered hotels to complete a COVID Safety Audit checklist. The new measures include:
- Adherence to Social distancing
- Use of face masks within public areas
- Contactless check-in/ out and contactless payments where necessary
- Meticulous personal hygiene
- Effective and regular sanitising of hand touchpoints areas
- All rooms to be cleaned and disinfected (with products proven to be effective against Covid-19)
- Hand sanitiser stations for guests
Please note (As it stands) as a hotel guest…
- Facemasks must be worn in all public areas
- Some hotel facilities may be closed or have limited availability.
- Meals may be staggered to reduce contact with other guests.
Coaches (domestic and international)
Our coach partners are following strict cleaning/ disinfection protocols and introducing practices that minimise risk (including baggage and loading/ unloading procedures). We will provide you with more information nearer your departure.
Local Guidance
Prior to departure, we’ll provide you with up-to-date information on Covid-19 regulations in the country/destination. Please note – there may be a COVID declaration document to complete before entering your destination country.
We will ensure that your tour adheres to any local guidelines. But Please note – There may be some changes to your itinerary to ensure that social distances, maximum group sizes and other procedures are followed.
Meals
We’re working with hotel and on-slope restaurants to make sure local Covid-19 health and safety procedures are followed.
Flying
As you may be aware airports and airlines have introduced many new procedures to ensure the safety of their passengers. Among others, this includes wearing a face mask during check-in, around the airport and during your flight. We highly recommend you make all your passengers (and parents) aware of the current guidelines for air travel (Link below). Please note – these guidelines could change before you depart.

Whilst on the slopes –
Inline with Trento province guidelines, these are the most up to date regulations whilst on the slopes :
- Always maintain at least a 1-meter distance between yourself and others.
- It’s mandatory to wear your face mask in all ticket offices and when using the gondola lifts and chairlifts.
- Sanitise your hands. You will find hand sanitisers gel at the entrance to the lifts and all ticket offices.
- Only 2/3 of the maximum passenger capacity will be allowed to access the passenger cabins of the lifts, except for cohabiting family units.
- If requested, it is also possible to access the passenger cabin alone.
- It is strictly prohibited to access any of the chairlifts or gondola lifts if your body temperature is above 37,5° C.
- Lift windows will remain open, to guarantee proper air circulation, the windows on the lifts have been adjusted to always remain open.
Please note – Instructors will wear face masks at all times and adhere to social distancing rules
Ski rental – Ski storage
All ski and snowboard equipment will be cleaned and disinfected prior to fitting. Ski equipment fitting will adhere to social distancing rules. This may result in longer wait times than usual.
We’re working closely with hotels and equipment rental shops to create a safe overnight ski equipment storage system. We will give you more details prior to departure.
