As the snow settles on another season, we’re celebrating our most successful year yet!
Max Ski has been thriving – and it’s not by accident. Our secret? A genuine people-first approach that puts students and teachers at the heart of every trip.
Riding High
The industry is feeling the pinch – but we’re grown the number of ski trips by 20% in the 2024/5 season which is no mean feat.
Schools have just returned from snowy adventures in Italy, and our crew are already busy planning what’s next – think fresh ideas, exciting destinations, and even more meaningful experiences.
Beyond the Slopes
This season wasn’t just about the skiing. We rolled out some fantastic new initiatives designed to support young people’s wellbeing. At a time when mental health challenges are rising, we introduced new live talks that got students talking, sharing, and breaking down stigma.
And let’s not forget the new Taskmaster-inspired evening activity – full of laughs, silly challenges, and the kind of bonding moments that turn classmates into lifelong friends. Teachers loved it too (even if they didn’t win the tasks!).
More Choice
This season we also added some fab new hotels and resorts to our lineup of top-class resorts and accommodation. Think cozy vibes, stunning views, and everything you need for a school trip to remember. Highlights include new hotels, the stylish Explorer Hotel Bad Kleinkirchheim in Austria and the dazzling Armon Greenblu Hotel & Wellness in Italy.
What the Boss Says
Max Ski CEO, Tom Bedford, says: “This winter was our biggest ever – more trips, more destinations, and most importantly, more impact on young people. In a tough environment, you have to be bold. We’re always looking for ways to go further and make each trip even more special.
“Travel can be life-changing. It sparks ambition, builds confidence, and helps students understand the world – and themselves – in new ways.”
Doing Good
This year was also about giving back, we joined forces with One for the City, a Leeds charity encouraging businesses to donate 1% of revenue to local causes. We’ve also teamed up with Ecologi, planting a tree for every one of our traveller to support the planet, and we’re getting certified through the Carbon Literacy Project to better understand how to travel more responsibly.
And there’s more: our Compliance Director Sarah Jane Corani has taken on a committee member duty with the School Travel Forum, helping shape the future of educational travel for the entire industry. Talk about Skin the game.
Not Just Skiing Anymore…
We’re not slowing down. We’re branching out – with cultural adventures to South Korea, Performing Arts tours to New York, from Netball in Barbados to Rugby in Italy.
